Transition and change have been the theme of our lives the past few months.
Learning to become fluid and move with the waves of change, if there is one thing I feel like I have become aware of in this transition is that nothing is for certain and nothing is forever.
Having my 5th knee surgery was easier and harder than I excepted in so many ways, being restricted is one of my biggest fears and I have had to come to realize that, that fear has not only been a possibility but now is my reality. All of my big plans have changed, the goals that I had set and the desires that I once had now have to be redirected and refocused. I could focus on the obstacles that now block my path or I can adapt and choose to continue my path making the necessary changes to live the life that I know my God has laid out for me.
It is somewhat ironic that all of this has come into the light during the month of December, this is such a powerful month! A month where our one true Saviors birth is celebrated, the celebration of new life and the most important life that could ever come into existence. With the celebration of this new life we begin to put our thoughts on our "new" life and the rebirth of a new year. This is something that should never be taken at a glance for it is such a magical time to discover a newness of life and a fresh beginning. Putting away the old and transitioning into the fierce creature that we desire to become.
Move! Move! There is nothing holding you back but the mindset that you currently obtain, I have written so many things on Like Rushing Waters (another post on my blog) because that is truly the inspiration for my life. You are never stuck in a place, there is always a way out, a new direction to go or a new path to discover. It is a time to search for your desire, what sets your soul on fire and gives purpose to your life in a way that you could never imagine? Grab a hold of it! Tightly, and do those things! Do the things that it takes to reach your dream, no matter how hard you are tested, no matter the obstacles that come against you. You are in control and you have the power of an almighty God behind you as the force behind your flow!
Moments, struggles, pain it is all temporary, I have learned that the things that come against us are not the defining moments but the reactions we have to those moments are the things that change our lives. Everything is a season and this season that we are transitioning into is one of glorious re-birth and a chance to have a new attitude, perspective, desire, and beginning.
This verse is so powerful, It speaks on the transitions of life and that each moment has its own season, you choose what you will do during your transition phase, your season of change.
"Change begins when the pain of staying the same is greater than the pain of change" Tony Robbins
Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8 says
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what has been planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing.

The choice is yours, it always has been and always will be. This New Year will there truly be a new you? Do you choose a new life and are you willing to make the change?
