Do you live your life waiting on the weekend, waiting for that special moment or big event?
Yes it is so important to be excited about the things ahead but sometimes we wish away time waiting on that one special moment or day.
We dread Monday and Tuesday, Wednesday is "Hump Day", Thursday is whatever and Friday is almost the weekend. What would change in your life if you woke up Monday morning with just as much enthusiasm as you did Saturday or Sunday morning? How would your week differ?
Everyday can be as easy or as difficult as you make them, it is a perspective and a mindset.
What if you simply had the mentality of wow I have been gifted another day, what can I do today to advance myself towards my goal, help someone who may need it, or in what way can God use me today? You have to enjoy each moment big or small, never wishing away time you were blessed with. There is one thing about time that is certain, it will pass. Like it or not time will pass, quicker than we know it another day will come to an end, then a week, then a month ect… I have never heard someone say during their last few days on this earth that they wished time would have passed a little quicker.
So why do we wish away time? We somehow have decided that only certain days and moments should be cherished when indeed every single moment we breath should be cherished with great significance. Gratitude, it is a hip word right now but lets really think about living a life of gratitude. That means not just grateful for the weekends but also grateful for that Monday you woke up late, spilled your coffee, and forgot your lunch at home.
If you think about the big picture you are literally wishing your life away. When you say it like that it is a little more shocking. I heard a speaker say that there are no days you should wish away, everyday and every moment will either advance you towards your dream or push you further away from it. Everyday we have the choice to say I will make this day count, I will use this day in the advancement of my dreams. No matter how big or small the advancement, a step forward is a step closer. That is why each day is important and each day has purpose. Be proud of the small victories you make each day because those are the ones that make the difference, those are the days that separate the winners from those who were to afraid to try.
Don't wish away days in hope for better ones ahead, enjoy the journey and the destination will be that much sweeter I promise!
